In 2023, film companies received more than 45 million rubles as a rebate for films shot in the Krasnodar Territory

Officials in the region summed up the results of the selection process for granting subsidies to film organizations to reimburse part of the costs associated with the production of national films. 10 companies received rebates. This was announced by Alexander Ruppel, Vice-Governor of the Krasnodar Territory.

«This year, we increased the interest rate from 20 to 30 percent and the maximum amount of subsidy per film project up to 12 million rubles. The department received 18 applications. Upon their review, 10 companies for 13 national films received subsidies totaling 45.2 million rubles. Despite all the difficulties in implementing projects and restrictions on air travel, the region continues to shoot movies. We also involve local producers, this year we have been working with 157 counterparts,» said Alexander Ruppel.

A mechanism for partial reimbursement of expenses incurred by film producers for the purpose of filming on the territory of the region, was launched in 2021. At that time, 5 companies received subsidies for 6 films in a total amount of more than 19 million rubles. In 2022, 10 companies received subsidies for 19 films. They were reimbursed 38.4 million rubles.

Also, since 2023, a new type of microloan Kino has been available for businesses in the field of cinematography. Entrepreneurs can receive up to 5 million rubles at a preferential interest rate of 3% per annum for up to 3 years. Funds can be used to purchase the necessary equipment and services.

The film commission for filmmakers continues to work in the Krasnodar Territory. It provides full project support. For example, it helps select locations, obtain permits for shooting, ensure the safety of their conduct, and also hires local staff.
