Veniamin Kondratyev: Krasnodar Region light industry enterprises report almost 670 million roubles in sales since start of 2026

The governor spoke to journalists about the sector's development in the region.

"Light industry in the Krasnodar Region is one of the most developed in the country. In terms of the number of small and medium-sized enterprises in the sector, we rank among the top five. Today, around 1,700 companies operate in the region's garment industry. Their number has increased by 19% over the last three years. What is more, the bulk of production output and shipments is accounted for by 100 key enterprises, which employ 4,000 people. These are modern factories producing textiles, special-purpose clothing, children's and adults' clothing, school uniforms, footwear, and leather goods. Such products are in strong demand among the public and organisations, including those in the health resort sector. For our part, we are working to support our enterprises, offering various subsidies, grants, and loans. As a result, since the start of 2026, light industry enterprises have sold products worth almost 670 million roubles, compared with 11.3 billion roubles for the whole of 2025,» said Veniamin Kondratyev.

Since the start of 2026, enterprises in the Krasnodar Region have increased their output of textile products by 24.2%, leather goods by 19.2%, and clothing by 7.8%. Light industry accounts for around 1.8% of the total industrial output in the Krasnodar Region. The leading companies are based in Armavir, Krasnodar, and the Leningradsky, Kushchyovsky, Seversky, and Slavyansky Districts, among others.

Clothing manufacturers operating in the Krasnodar Region can benefit from support measures under the sector-specific state programme across six areas. These measures include grants for interest reimbursement on loans, subsidies, loans, and assistance with participating in trade fairs.

To improve the skills of the sector's workforce, a light industry training centre has been established, comprising three laboratories and five workshops.
