The all-russian startup tour in Kuban will encourage innovation development
Krasnodar region became one of nine regions across the country, which was chosen by "Skolkovo" Foundation as a forum for this large-scale event in 2016.
This choice is not by coincidence, since Kuban is considered the leader in terms of innovation development on the South of Russia.
Moreover, in the year 2014 the region has already hosted this project. Following its results, the development of Kuban enterprise LLC "NanoServ" came through to the All-Russian final round and received the first prize at the forum "Open innovations".
This year a startup tour will take place in Kuban Technology University and will gather more than 400 participants together fr om the South Federal District and North-Caucasian Federal District regions as well as the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
As of March 1, the number of projects to be presented by the innovators in Krasnodar has already exceeded 130. The development streams from robotic engineering and agriculture up to start-ups in the area of import substitution and cybersecurity.
As many as 55 experts of the "Skolkovo" Foundation and innovation center and the Fund for the Promotion of development of small enterprises in Science & Technology (Bortnik Fund) and other development institutions will be evaluating the projects.
The top prize of the contest will be an invitation to the Start-up Village the most ambitious startup conference in Russia traditionally running in "Skolkovo" Innovation center in early June.
The winners of the final contest will be granted 2 million rubles for the project development.

He also emphasized that for the innovators participation in the All-Russian startup tour provides an opportunity to receive an appraisal from internationally recognized experts and to understand whether the developmentы will be relevant for the economy in future.
According to Sergey Altukhov, the activities on the establishment of the regional innovation forum a single coordination center incorporating Kuban innovators, wh ere they will be able, inter alia, to obtain consulting services is currently under way in Krasnodar region.
