Kuban company won at UN international contest on digitalization of agriculture

Krasnodar company Flyseeagro became champion at the International Contest of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) «Advanced digital technologies of agriculture of Europe and Central Asia». 

Representatives of Kuban won in the category «Innovative systems in agriculture», overtaking colleagues fr om Germany, France and Spain in the finals. Flyseeagro was a sole company from Russia that took part in the international contest.

The contest has been running since November 2020 and consisted of six stages. Its aim is to investigate into the role of digitalization in regional agriculture in 18 countries of Europe and Central Asia. 

«The contest contributes to the achievement of sustainable development aims formulated by UN and helps to address the issue of hunger, as articulated in the profile description of the event. 

Krasnodar company Flyseeagro specializes on biological protection of plants with the usage of ethnomophages. Drones are employed for these purposes. According to the proprietary data of the company, Flyseeagro has one of the biggest parks of drones in Russia among agricultural organizations.  

FAO is a Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the main task of which is to combat hunger. FAO serves as a platform wh ere the developed and developing countries discuss and negotiate political solutions in the area of food safety.
