A multifunctional gastronomic tourism center will be opened in Krasnaya Polyana in the summer

The construction agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2022.

The Redpeak Gastrotourism Center features a restaurant complex, brewery, tasting rooms, and a specialty store selling local products. Currently, the completion progress stands at 80%. The construction of the perimeter glazing, external engineering networks, and roofing is finished. Work on finishing touches, wiring engineering networks, and installing equipment is ongoing. The center is scheduled to open by the end of June.

«We signed an agreement to build the center at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum in 2022. Out of nearly 50 investment projects currently underway in the resort sector, 27 were signed at SPIEF in various years. The total investment in these projects amounts to around 372 billion rubles. Upon completion, these projects are expected to create approximately 15,000 new jobs and introduce over 26,000 rooms in the region,» said Vice-Governor Alexander Ruppel.

According to the deputy head of the region, projects related to food and wine are very promising.

«The Krasnodar Territory typically ranks fourth in the country for catering turnover. We are the top wine producer in the country, and the quality and taste of Kuban agricultural products are recognized well beyond the region. This has spurred the growth of a specific type of tourism, enogastronomic tourism,» added Alexander Ruppel.

In 2022, the Ministry of Resorts, Tourism, and Olympic Heritage of Krasnodar Territory created the Wine Roads of Krasnodar Territory route. The route covers 528 kilometers and takes visitors to 20 different wineries in this area. In 2023, the number of visitors to the wine tourism sites in the region surpassed 1 million people.

The most notable event on the Black Sea coast in 2023 was the Black Sea Wine Week enogastronomic festival, which took place for the first time in Abrau-Durso. In 2024, the festival will expand to include six municipalities in Kuban. Events will not only be held in Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik but also in Anapa, Krymsk, Seversky, and Temryuksky districts, all areas where wine tourism is growing. New additions for 2024 include a bicycle race, mountain climbing, and a sailing regatta.
