«Abrau-Dyurso» and «Crimean seafood» will open a chain of restaurants with Black Sea oysters in Russia. The pioneer venue «Dozen: oysters & wine» will become operational in late December in Moscow.
The total area of the pioneer restaurant in Moscow will be around 200 sq.m. Total investment is estimated at 30 million rubles.
The partners plan to launch a chain of 15 restaurants in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and largest cities of Russia where the logistics would enable to deliver fresh seafood.
The basic idea of the project is to offer oysters and wine to consumers practically for the cost of production and to promote locally available wines and seafood to the Russian market.
Import substitution in the seafood sector in Russia has started since the year 2014 when a number of goods, including oysters, was targeted by food-specific sanctions. «Crimean seafood» is the largest aquafarm in Russia, cultivating oysters and mussels in the salt lake Donuzlav in Yevpatoria. The production output of oysters over nine months in 2018 made more than half a million items, mussels- more than 20 tons, according to proprietary data.
