Avtodor Will Build 10 Stations for Charging Electric Cars on the Highway to the Black Sea

Avtodor plans to build ten stations for charging electric cars on the M-4 «Don» highway, which connects Moscow with the Black Sea coast, within two years. This is reported by TASS with a reference to the Deputy General Director of the Avtodor Management Company (a subsidiary of the Avtodor State Company) Yevgeniy Nityazhenko.

New multifunctional zones, which will be created within 2 years, will be equipped with electric charging. The project includes solutions for fast charging stations, which allow charging a car for 500 km within 15 minutes.

A network of fuel filling stations is also interested in the development of infrastructure for electric cars. «In particular, Shell, Lukoil, and GazpromNeft have such programs. They will also add their services, and it is planned to install such facilities for charging electric cars at every fuel filling stations», Yevgeniy Nityazhenko said.

The M-4 «Don» highway with a total length of 1,543 km connects Moscow, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don and the Krasnodar Region. The main part of the highway from Moscow to Krasnodar is an integral part of the E115 European highway.
